On January 22-26 an international tactical air control party (TACP) exercise Furious Wolf 24-1 is conducted in Panevėžys and Klaipėda regions.
Residents of areas to the east from the Panevėžys City downtown will be able to see and hear the NATO Air Policing Mission reinforcement aircraft, Lithuanian Air Force helicopters and the MQ-9 Reaper long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle. Concurrently, Navy fire support call procedures will be simulated at the Brigadier General Povilas Plechavičius Training Area, Klaipėda Region. Ground forces will train with tactical vehicles round the clock. The exercise will not include ammunition, blanks nor pyrotechnics.
The international tactical air control party (TACP) exercise Furious Wolf 24-1 is organized by the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Multinational Battle Group (eFP BG) Estonia on January 15 – February 2 in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to build interoperability with NATO Allies and Partners. The exercise is designed to train the Lithuanian, American and NATO military personnel deployed in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to conduct planning and coordination of close air support and ensure tactical air control through integration of battalion-level fire support capabilities and organic intelligence.
