In the evening of 26th September soldiers of German Air Force detachment that are currently in charge of NATO Air-policing mission in the Baltic States organised celebration of Oktoberfest feast. The goal of the event was to acquaint counterpart colleagues with one of holidays popular in Germany, its history and traditions.
This event brought a perfect opportunity to taste traditional foods and beverages and listen to traditional Bavarian music. Some soldiers that originally come from Germany's Bavarian region were dressed in folk suits. According to one of the organisers, missions like NATO Air-policing in the Baltic States is a perfect opportunity to bring traditions of the coming nation to the host country too.
