January 20-21, Chief of Defence of Lithuania Maj Gen Arvydas Pocius will attend the meeting of the Chiefs of Defence (CHODs) of the Nordic and Baltic countries in Estonia where his Danish, Estonian, Latvian, Norwegian and Swedish counterparts will also be present.
Nordic and Baltic CHODs are expected to discuss situation in the Baltic region, the multinational operation in Afghanistan, points of cooperation in cyber defence and training personnel of the European Union Battle Groups.
Meetings in such format are held annually in one of the participating states. Last year the meeting was hosted by Finland.
