Lithuanian basketball team won their second and third victories at the Men's Military International Basketball Tournament at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Belgium. They defeated the UK team at the result 67-58 and Poland's team 82-58.
Basketball players from the National Defence Volunteer Forces (1st Territorial Unit, Dainava Military District) coached by Pte M. Jaruševičius secured a position among the first four.
Numerous basketball fans from Lithuania supported their team loudly and heatedly according to all the national traditions. All the spectators enjoyed speedy attacks and collective game of the Lithuanian team and gave applause and noise of enthusiasm.
Coach Pte M. Jaruševičius just like the majority of the team appreciate the chance to meet the US team in a match for the third place and forecast a tough game.
