Lithuanian-led PRT base under fire


November 21, rocket propelled anti-tank grenades were used against the base of the Lithuanian-led PRT in Ghor at around 5 a.m. local time. PRT personnel were not injured. No marked damage was done to infrastructure of the base.

 

During the incident two rocket propelled anti-tank grenades were fired at the direction of the PRT base - one of them detonated before reaching the base, the other fell into the compound and did some marginal harm to a storage container.

 

Afghan National Police and local security forces were immediately informed about the event and dispatched forces to the incident area. It is not known so far who is responsible for the assault.

PRT personnel continue completing their regular tasks.
