Lithuanian Armed Forces Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf trains at Schneller Degen 2023

On November 13 – 29 command and battalion headquarters are training at the multinational exercise the Iron Wolf Infantry Brigade of the Lithuanian Armed Forces train at the multinational exercise Schneller Degen 2023 in Germany. The three-week training exercise will have the Iron Wolf Brigade personnel and over 2000 troops from 14 NATO Allies and partners honing execution of defensive and offensive operations. Schneller Degen 2023 is the most important command element exercise the Iron Wolf Brigade will have this year.

“This exercise provides an excellent opportunity of training our headquarters in composition of a Division thus deepening interoperability with the German military, strategic Ally of Lithuania, as well as to improve command and control and coordination skills,” said Brigade Commander Col Aurelijus Motiejūnas about the starting exercise.

The international command element exercise Schneller Degen is annually organized by the Bundeswehr to further strengthen the cooperation between Allied and partner military units, showcases the strength of commitment and the importance of NATO solidarity. The Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf was affiliated to the 10th Panzer Division in 2018 for training, and thus joins every Schneller Degen since.
