Iron Wolf Brigade plans division-level defensive and offensive operations

Military personnel of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf and attached service members continue training defensive and offensive division operations planning and synchronization with NATO Allies at the multinational Exercise Schneller Degen 2023 in Germany.

Chief of Defence of Lithuania Gen Valdemaras Rupšys visited Lithuanian troops at the exercise: familiarized with the planned operations and interaction with the Allies, met with the training personnel and bestowed decorations. With Commander of the 10th Armored Division Maj Ruprecht von Butler he discussed the exercise concept, the interoperability of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Brigade with the German division, an familiarized with operational objectives and challenges, toured exercise command-posts of the other NATO Allies training at Schneller Degen 2023.

On November 13-29 command posts of the Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf Headquarters and battalions are training alongside over 2000 troops from 14 NATO Allies and partners to plan defensive and offensive operations at multinational Exercise Schneller Degen held by the German Bundeswehr every year. The joint training builds up collaboration among military units of NATO Allies and partners, demonstrates the strength of commitments and the importance of Alliance solidarity.
