Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf is training at the division-level international exercise Grand Quadriga 2024, a wide-scale exercise of the German Bundeswehr that rehearses moving two divisions from the central part of Europe to eastern. Over 3 thousand German troops and military equipment has been moved to Lithuania.
The exercise takes place in Lithuania under the leadership of the 10th Panzer Division of the German Armed Force. The Iron Wolf Infantry Brigade trains at Grand Quadriga 2024 in composition of the 10th Panzer Division with the German 12th Tank Brigade, 37th Panzergrenadier Brigade, 13th Light Brigade of the Netherlands and the Franco-German Brigade. The Brigade HQ staff is training real-life terrain defence planning, synchronization and coordination of tactical actions, indirect fire and air support, logistical provision and interoperability with adjacent units. The exercise runs until May 29.
The Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf has been affiliated to the German 10th Panzer Brigade since 2018 for division-level training and exercises.
