Soldiers of German Air force detachment that are currently in charge of NATO Air policing mission in Baltic countries on behalf of unit have erected a cross in the Hill of crosses. The ceremony was observed by German colleagues from Lithuanian AF Air base. The crossed was hallowed by major Virginijus Veilentas, the Chaplain of Lithuanian AF. Erecting the cross Germans wanted to show the respect to the local traditions and culture. German soldiers brought to this ceremony their talisman of luck - teddy-bear too. This teddy-bear, which is dressed in German pilot uniform, is part charity project. Later on it will be sold on the auction and received money will be donated for children prosperity.
