Finland's warship visits Klaipėda


 

From August 19 to 21 Halli vessel of the Finnish Navy is paying a friendly visit in Klaipėda Seaport. The vessel will escort ships participating in The Culture 2011 Tall Ships Regatta from Klaipėda to Turku (Finland) seaport as communications and security ship.

 

During the visit  in Klaipėda Halli ship and voyage commanders are planned to conduct official meetings with the Mayor of Klaipėda and the Commander-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Navy. Agenda of the ship's visit also includes sports, cooperation and representative events.

 

Oil recovery vessel Halli  of the Finnish Navy is capable of performing the functions of supply ship and diver platform. The vessel underwent modernisation in 2008-2010 and is now considered one of the most cutting-edge anti-pollution vessels throughout Europe.
