Exercise Combined Resolve XV - an opportunity to further strengthen European defence

On February 11 through March 4 international Exercise Combined Resolve XV will train over 300 military personnel of the Lithuanian Land Force Motorised Infantry Brigade Griffin headquarters and subordinate battalions, and the United States of America, to complete joint defensive operations.

MIB Griffin Commander Col Nerijus Stankevičius stressed at the international exercise opening ceremony the importance of the event and underlined that each exercise was a test that showed how ready, how strong we were and what were the strengths and weaknesses of our knowledge, procedures, equipment, vehicles, weaponry systems, and particularly, our morale and physical fitness.

MIB Griffin headquarters, subordinate battalions and allied soldiers will use JCATS equipment from their homebases to train tactical tasks, coordinate and execute collective multinational defence, and strengthen international cooperation, integration of multinational personnel, and the ability to adapt to changing environment.

The exercise is organised by the U.S. Joint Multinational Readiness Centre (JMRC) situated in Europe. A team of Observer-Coach/Trainers (OC-T) deployed by the JMRC will assess planning, preparation and executions phases of the computer-simulated combat operations carried out by the training units. The information will be analysed and given as a feedback to the training audience at the end, during the "hotwash".
