On November 13 DV and Media Day of the multinational Exercise Iron Sword 2014 will take place at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area. The event will be attended by Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas, Lithuania MPs, ambassadors and military representatives of the countries participating at Exercise Iron Sword 2014, and other guests.
The gusts will have an opportunity to observe a combined offensive operation being completed by 9 NATO member nations participating in the exercise and view a static display of military equipment and weaponry. Then a the military personnel that will have taken part in the dynamic and static displays will form a parade and the Closing Ceremony of Exercise Iron Sword 2014 will take place.
Exercise Iron Sword 2014 running in Lithuania on November 2-14 involves roughly 2.5 thousand participants from 9 NATO member states and over 300 military vehicles of various roles. The exercise trains interoperability in combined NATO units, coordination of actions, and readiness to complete defensive and offensive operations. Exercise Iron Sword has been planned to expand and incorporate increasingly more NATO and partner states.
For the Media
Media representatives willing to observe the multinational Exercise Iron Wolf 2014 at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area (Pabradė) on November 13 are invited to register till November 11 19:00 hrs at vis@kam.lt
Transport will be provided for the media representatives going to DV Day from Vilnius. Number of places is limited. Those willing to go by the provided transport should register till November 11, 17:00 hrs at vis@kam.lt.
Media representatives will have to have a press card and a personal identification document at the DV Day.
Freelancers, persons not in contract with any media outlet, and representatives of foreign media outlets should accredit with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of National Defence vis@kam.lt, fill out a form and send a copy of a personal ID document.
Media representatives are invited to arrive at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area in Pabradė (by the HQ of the training range) before 09:10 hrs.

10:00 - 10:30 hrs Presentation on Exercise Iron Sword 2014, dynamic display (combined operation);
10:30 - 11:00 hrs Presentation of equipment and weaponry;
11:00 - 11:30 hrs Closing Ceremony;
11:30 - 11:50 hrs Going to the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Range HQ;
12:00 hrs Departure
