On June 15 a delegation of the Senior Course at the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome, led by Commandant of the College Lieutenant General Chris Whitecross is conducting a visit in Lithuania. The visit is part of the Senior Course syllabus aimed at familiarising with the regional security situation, Lithuania's defence policy, and topical matters of the national defence system. TO that end, the delegation is visiting the ministry of National Defence and the Committee on National Security and Defence of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
On the occasion Commandant Lt Gen Ch. Whitecross met with Chief of Defence of Lithuania LT Gen Jonas Vytautas Žukas at the Lithuanian Armed Forces Office this morning. The meeting Generals established a contact and discussed prospects for cooperation between the Lithuanian Armed Forces and the NATO Defence College, Lt Gen Ch. Whitecross briefed Chief of Defence on the NDF activities.
Currently one officer of the Lithuanian Armed Forces is serving at the NATO Defence College.
