On August 12 Commander of the NATO Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) General Jeffrey L. Harrigian contacted Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force Col Dainius Guzas, thanked for the useful cooperation and discussed future prospects for it.

Gen Jeffrey L. Harrigian who initiated the call congratulated Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force Lt Dainius Guzas right away and asked him to convey best wishes to the Lithuanian Air Force personnel on the 100th anniversary of the Lithuanian Air Force. He also thanked for the contribution to the international Exercise Rapid Forge and for the excellent organisation of the very relevant international conference "Air Power Impact and Potential Contribution to the Baltic Region Defence" to which his Mobilization Assistant Maj Gen John B. Gen Jeffrey L. Harrigian was invited by Col Dainius Guzas and agreed to attend the NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission changeover ceremony at the Lithuanian Air Force Base in Šiauliai and to discuss cooperation of the Baltic Region Control and Reporting Centres and plans for our integrated air defence on September 3 later this year.

In the end of the conversation Col D. Guzas thanked Gen Jeffrey L. Harrigian for the consistent efforts of the U.S. Air Force and the NATO Allied Air Command to strengthen the security of Lithuania's and regional airspace
