On April 16 Commander of the Combined Air Operations Centre Uedem (CAOC-U) Maj Gen Harold van Pee with a delegation visited the Air Space Control Centre of the Lithuanian Air Force Air Surveillance and Control Command (Kaunas region).
The guest met with top command of the Air Force Headquarters, Air Surveillance and Control Command and the air Base. He was briefed on the Air Surveillance and Control Command and Air Space Control and Reporting Centre’s tasks and activity, Air Base, current affairs of the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic states, activity of the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU).
The Combined Air Operations Centre Uedem (CAOC-U) coordinates NATO and national capabilities in NATO-led operations during peace time and in crises, and is responsible for activation of the NATO Baltic Air Policing fighter jets.
