On July 12 a formation and parade of Color Guards of the Lithuanian Armed Forces took part in the inauguration of President of the Republic of Lithuania HE Gitanas Nausėda. Color Guards and members of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and other armed institutions of the state paid respect to the President as the Commander-in-Chief.
The line-up was formed by platoons and color groups from the Lithuanian Land Force, Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf, Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonas Karolis Chodkevičius Infantry Brigade Griffin, National Defence Volunteer Force and Col Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion, Air Force, Navy, Special Operations Forces, Training and Doctrine Command, Logistics Command, Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas Headquarters Battalion, Lithuanian Great Hetman Kristupas Radvila Perkūnas Signal and IS Battalion, General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania, Combat Rifles of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, Public Security Service of the Ministry of the Interior and State Border Guard colors and platoons. The formation was commanded by Brigadier General Artūras Radvilas, Commander Lithuanian Land Force.
Formations of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and other armed institutions of the state take place to mark presidential inaugurations since regaining the Lithuanian independence.
