Chief of Defence of Lithuania Maj. Gen. Arvydas Pocius will take part in a conference "NATO's New Strategic Concept: NATO and the Partners' Military Perspective" hosted by Helsinki (Finland) on June 14-15.
In the conference the progress in drafting the new NATO's Strategic Concept will be addressed. Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) will take into account findings of the event in producing military advice to the NATO's political and military leadership, Allied Command Transformation (ACT) will use them in its transformational efforts.
The conference is organised by the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Gen. Stéphane Abrial. The conference will also provide an opportunity for CHODs of NATO members and partner states to discuss strategic issues important to NATO states and partners.
SACT leads ACT and is responsible for the interoperability between the Allied forces and capabilities, and stimulation of ongoing improvement.
