January 21-22, Chief of Defence of Lithuania Maj. Gen. Arvydas Pocius will attend Nordic-Baltic CHODs meeting in Finland. Other Chiefs of Defence in the conference will be of Danish, Estonian, Latvian, Norwegian and Swedish armed forces.
The meeting leaders of Nordic-Baltic militaries will discuss the Baltic Sea security situation, upcoming international military training, cooperation in cyber-defence and naval surveillance.
Chiefs of Defence of Baltic and Nordic countries convene annually in one of the countries. Last year the meeting took place in Latvia, the following event is planned in Estonia. Lithuania hosted Nordic-Baltic CHODs meeting in January of 2007.
