Chairman of the NATO Military Committee to visit Lithuania

On September 25 Chairman of the Military Committee (MC) Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart William Peach (United Kingdom - Air Force) is conducting an official visit to Lithuania.


He will meet with Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament Viktoras Pranckietis, Chief of Defence Lt Gen Valdemaras Rupšys, other representatives of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The guest will also visit the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence in Vilnius and receive briefings on the regional security situation from the Lithuanian Armed Forces Defence Staff.


Chairman of the NATO Military Committee is chief military advisor to the NATO Secretary General responsible for conveying consensus-based advice from the 30 Chiefs of Defence as the NATO Military Committee to NATO's political decision-making structures. He directs and publicly represents work of the NATO Military Committee. Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart William Peach (United Kingdom - Air Force) assumed the position on 18 June 2018.
