Baltic Air Force Commanders meet

On February 26 and 27 a meeting of the Air Forces of Baltic States will take place in Rēzekne, Latvia. Lithuanian Air Force (LITHAF) Commander Major General Edvardas Mažeikis, Latvian Air Force Commander Colonel Aivars Mežrs and Estonian Air Force Commander Colonel Jaak Tarien will share views on the relevant points of their represented services, discuss implementation of trilateral and multilateral projects, and exchange offers on further enhancement of their countries' cooperation.

It is worth noticing that cooperation of the Baltic Air Forces is particularly close, air personnel of the three states serve at the joint Baltic Command and Reporting Centre in Karmėlava. Plans of joint training programmes and courses are drafted. The Baltic States host Baltic Region Training Events (BRTEs) where allied air forces train alongside air personnel of the Baltic States.

Work meetings of the Baltic Air Force Commanders are organised biannually in the Baltic States on a rotational basis.
