Armenian delegation visit the Warfare Training Centre

January 23, delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Armenia visited the Gen Adolfas Ramanauskas Warfare Training Centre (Vilnius Distr., Nemenčinė).

During the visit the Warfare Training Centre (WTC) was presented to the guests. They were also given an opportunity to familiarize with the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) installed at the WTC Computer Simulated Exercise Unit.

JCATS was installed in the WTC in 2005 on the basis of an agreement signed between Lithuania and the United States of America regarding the application of the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation in the Lithuanian Armed Forces.

JCATS is a highly effective warfare training instrument for commanders and staffs of units at every level. It is handy in planning and conducting all sorts of military operations. JCATS is capable of simulating a range of factors influencing military operation (features of terrain, weather conditions, human factor, intense stress-giving environment, differing velocity, impact of arms) commanders and troops are trained to take into account when making and implementing decisions. The mentioned features of JCATS decreases the time and spending required for warfare training in Lithuania.
