March 3 a group of members of the Defence Committee of the Parliament of Denmark made a trip to General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area of the Lithuanian Armed Forces in Pabradė while on visit in Lithuania.
Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Major General Almantas Leika familiarised the Danish MPs with the Lithuanian Land Force, presented the current structure and objectives, international military cooperation projects and current activities of the military units.
Later the guests were offered an opportunity to observe a combined live fire exercise conducted by Duke Algirdas Mechanised Infantry Battalion of the Mechanised Infantry Brigade and a U.S. company, and to familiarise with combat materiel and weaponry the soldiers used.
