On November 8 and 9 Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force Maj Gen Edvardas Mažeikis will take part in the annual conference of International Society of Military Sciences at the Baltic Defence College in Tartu (Estonia). This year its theme is „Adapting to Modern Security Challenges".
The Society organizes one conference per year on relevant themes giving the right to deliver opening speech to another speaker each year. For the first time the right to open the event was conferred on a Lithuanian representative, the opening address will be given by Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force Maj Gen Edvardas Mažeikis.
International Society of Military Sciences was established in 2008. The key aim of the organisation is to provide a network for information exchange on war and conflict control and peacekeeping.
