November 11, Lt Col Romualdas Moldaris, Commander of the Lithuanian National Defence Volunteer Force (NDVF) will attend the event marking the 92nd anniversary of establishment of the Estonian Volunteer Force (KAITSELIIT) and the 20th anniversary of re-establishment of the Estonian Volunteer Force.
In the event Commanders of Latvian, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian volunteer forces will be present as well.
Points on cooperation will be discussed in a meeting of Nordic-Baltic Volunteer Force Commanders foreseen in Tallinn.
Lithuanian NDVF develops close cooperation with Estonian and Latvian volunteer forces. In the end of this year Baltic volunteer forces jointly trained in the multinational exercise „Sabre Strike"for multinational deployments to Afghanistan together with the Pennsylvania National Guard troops in Latvia.
