On April 17-18 Chief of Defence of Lithuania Lt Gen Valdemaras Rupšys is conducting a visit to Germany to farewell the retiring former counterpart General Eberhard Zorn and meet with the newly appointed succeeding Inspector General of the Bundeswehr General Carsten Breuer.
Chief of Defence of Lithuania and Gen C. Breuer will discuss collective and national defence plans, contributions of the Lithuanian Armed Forces to the German-led training program for the Ukrainian military which delivers individual, collective and specialist training in collaboration with Belgian and German instructors, Lithuanian participation in UN Operation MINUSMA in composition of the German company, the Chiefs of Defence will also review the results of the cooperation and look into the support in Lithuania’s military capability development and conduct of joint training.
